EZ-LubeCheck
General Description
EZ-LubeCheck is a state-of-the-art portable instrument designed to easily and accurately measure water contamination in lubricants, fuels, and insulating oils directly at the site. Unlike conventional laboratory-based methods, this device allows engineers, maintenance teams, and field operators to obtain real-time results without the need for reagents or complex procedures. The compact and handheld design with a built-in rechargeable battery makes it ideal for both on-site inspections and mobile condition monitoring. By integrating advanced sensing technology, EZ-LubeCheck ensures reliability and precision in detecting water content, oil permittivity, and temperature, which are critical factors in maintaining lubricant health and equipment performance.
Key Features
Real-time measurement of water content in oil without chemicals or reagents.
Simultaneous monitoring of Relative Humidity (RH%), Total Water (ppm), Temperature (°C), and Permittivity (%).
Portable and lightweight with a built-in rechargeable battery (approx. 10 hours of continuous use).
Easy-to-read digital display with intuitive control buttons.
Compatible with a wide range of oils: lubricating oil, hydraulic oil, gear oil, turbine oil, insulating oil, engine oil, and fuels (diesel, heavy oil, synthetic).
Calibration materials available (humidity standards) for maintaining accuracy.
USB-C charging, LED indicators, and optional accessories including protective case, washing bottle, and sample bottles.
Efficacy & Benefits
Water contamination in lubricants is one of the most common causes of equipment failure. When water enters the oil—whether as free water, emulsified water, or dissolved water—it accelerates oil degradation, reduces additive effectiveness, and promotes corrosion and abnormal wear due to the depletion of the lubricating film. EZ-LubeCheck provides immediate on-site detection, enabling users to:
Prevent unexpected breakdowns caused by water-induced damage.
Extend oil service life by identifying contamination early.
Reduce maintenance costs through predictive and condition-based maintenance strategies.
Support compliance with ASTM D7546 and ASTM D4928 standards for oil condition monitoring.
How to Use (Recipe / Procedure)
1. Prepare the oil sample using the supplied washing bottle or sample bottle.
2. Connect the sensor unit to the portable monitor.
3. Immerse the sensor into the oil sample or insert it into the designated port.
4. Switch on the device and allow a few seconds for stabilization.
5. The display will show real-time measurements of RH%, ppm, temperature, and oil permittivity.
6. Compare results with recommended oil condition thresholds to determine whether corrective action (oil replacement, filtration, or purification) is needed.
7. After use, clean the sensor with the supplied washing bottle and cover with the sensor cap for protection.
