To reduce the effects of metal impurities on silica gel, high-purity silica gel for chromatography was refined using a technology developed by our company.
The purified silica gel surface was coated with a silicone polymer using chemical vapor deposition (CVD) to create a hydrophobic surface (blocking the silanol) and then bonded with functional groups to synthesize the chromatographic resins. Additional end-capping reactions performed at high temperature and pressure minimize remaining silanol groups.
There is a slight difference in the separation pattern compared to the INNO (-Si-O-Si-R) resin, which bonds the functional group directly to the silicon polymer.
